so claire and i visited not only beee-you-ti-ful cali, but five different airports on our gourney. here's the rundown: newark international airport (EWK), john wayne (so totes amzing.) airport, in the OC!! (SNA), los angeles international airport (LAX), cleveland hopkins international airport (CLE), and philadelphia international airport (PHL). i would have to say the orange county airport was my fav because this is what we saw out the window right before we landed...
packing and leaving was an adventure, after both of us working at our respective bars until 3:30 am, we head home to gather our things and clean up our mansion/castle. but because of the disgusting heat and all the air-conditioners running across the land, philadelphia experienced a brown-out. hence, we packed by candlelight.
claire looks like goddamn tinkerbell. let it be known that my sister is not, in fact a fairy (or a faerie as some of you annoying people might call these mystical creatures) but the lighting playing a silly little trick on your eyes!
so once we made it to the airport, we had a lot of waiting around to do. and many to be had at the airport bar. one of the reasons why we weren't as broke as we could have been on our trip is thanks to our wonderful aunt sheila who is a fierce flight attendant on continental airlines so we got to fly with buddy passes. unfortunately, this means we are at the mercy of people missing their flights. so after missing 4 flights in a row to LAX, we found a flight to orange county with a slight chance we would get on. and praise be the airplane gods! we got seats! (even though they were the non-reclining shit seats, we couldn't care less. we were going to cali!)
